The BFE/RMA Research Students’ Conference 2026 is an annual academic conference jointly organised by the British Forum for Ethnomusicology (BFE) and the Royal Musical Association (RMA). The 2026 conference was held at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire from 6–8 January 2026. I was honoured to present Lecture Recital (Session A8) in the Recital Hall, and was pleased to contribute to the stimulating academic exchange fostered by the conference.
It was a great pleasure to share my research in such a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to engage with fellow researchers working across diverse areas of music scholarship, and the discussions that followed the lecture recital offered insightful perspectives that will contribute to the further development of my research. I felt particularly grateful for the opportunity to present my work to an engaged audience and to participate in an atmosphere that encouraged constructive dialogue and scholarly exchange
